Key Leadership Accomplishments

  • Oversaw the due diligence, acquisition and financial integration of two retail thrift chains representing $220 million of enterprise value
  • Led the management presentations, lender/rating agency presentations in the 2012 change of ownership which saw the exit of Freeman Spogli and investment by TPG and Leonard Green
  • Led the tax reorganization associated with the change of ownership, reducing the cost of foreign repatriation by 50 percent through the utilization of hybrid debt instruments

Bio

Bob Hoglund has 28 years of experience serving in financial leadership roles for public and private organizations in the retail, consumer products, light manufacturing and forestry industries. He has significant experience in developing scalable infrastructures through the design of processes and procedures and developing high functioning teams. In his 13 years at Savers, he was instrumental in several changes of private equity ownership, along with the related financing and tax structuring activities. During his tenure the organization grew from 180 locations to over 330 locations. Most of this growth was organic but it also included the acquisition of three competitors. Bob led the integration activities of the acquisitions as well. At Wizards of Coast, Bob led the implementation of SAP and integration into Hasbro’s infrastructure. Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Simon Fraser University. He’s a Chartered Accountant from Canada.
