Bio

Bob possesses more than 40 years of broad business and financial management experience with special competence in entrepreneurial, start-up, rapid growth, and turn-arounds of commercial software and professional service companies. Bob also has extensive competence in governmental entities and technology implementations. He served in multiple capacities within Tatum, (a wholly owned subsidiary of Randstad Holdings, NV) that included Mid-Atlantic Managing Partner, Eastern Region Managing Partner and Co-Managing Partner between 2010 and 2017.

 

From 2007 to 2010, Bob was executive VP and CFO of Language and Computing, Inc., a Belgian private equity owned natural language processing software company in the healthcare space (acquired by Nuance Communications: NUAN).

 

Bob was the Mid-Atlantic managing partner of Tatum from 2003 through 2007, a post he returned to in 2010 following Tatum’s acquisition by Spherion (SFN) and following the integration of Language and Computing, Inc. into Nuance. From 2001 to 2003, Bob was president and CFO for YellowBrick Solutions, Inc. – an emerging growth venture backed CRM software start up. He saw YellowBrick Solutions through 4 rounds of venture funding, “right-sizing” and M&A activity. In 2003 YellowBrick Solutions was acquired by its largest customer.

 

From 1996 through 2001, Bob was SVP – Software Systems of Election Systems and Software (ES&S), a closely held election products and services company that grew from less than $10 million to over $100 million in revenue and 400 employees during his tenure.

 

Prior to joining ES&S, Bob served as CFO and COO of Buildsoft – an entrepreneurial startup construction accounting software company. During Bob’s tenure Buildsoft become the #1 nationally recognized residential construction software package by the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB).

 

From 1985 to 1992, Bob was a managing partner with Ronald Blue & Company (RB&C), an Atlanta-based national professional services, financial planning and investment advisory company. Before RB&C, he was the tax and audit manager for Post & Associates, CPAs in Atlanta. Prior to that he served in multiple progressive financial leadership roles.

 

Bob holds a B.S. in business administration with a major in accounting from the University of North Carolina. He is a licensed CPA (inactive) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bob is a Trustee of the McLean School of Maryland and serves on the finance and executive committees.
