Bio

Pete O’Dell has more than 30 years of experience in senior operating and information technology executive roles spanning the software, ecommerce, digital retailing, homeland security and professional services industries. In his executive roles, Pete has been instrumental in several high growth, turnaround and public company environments as CIO and COO, including experience in global business development, mergers and acquisitions, new product development, and technology development and integration. As the head of Information Technology at Autodesk, he built the global systems department during a period of 100% growth, streamlining business functions and adding new capabilities and also managed mergers and acquisitions before becoming President of Autodesk Retail products. Pete subsequently was the Chief Operating Officer at Online Interactive, a venture-backed pioneer in electronic digital delivery and e-commerce, where he was integral in the sale to MicroWarehouse, a $2 billion retailer. After managing the integration, he took on the role of CIO on a worldwide basis for MicroWarehouse. In 2002, Pete founded Swan Island Networks and was the Chief Operating/Financial Officer for six years before moving to the Board of Directors. He authored Silver Bullets: How Interoperable Data will Revolutionize Information Sharing in 2010, and has been a Global Innovation Advisor for Pinkerton’s technology group and other companies. Pete holds a BS in Business Information Systems and Production Management from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
