The recapitalization and renegotiated lender agreements reset the company’s financial foundation, providing flexibility to operate with no significant changes in strategic direction and with limited workforce reductions. He also executed on numerous acquisition financings, like the $285 million debt financing in support of a private equity firm’s acquisition of a North American rail and transportation service company. James has extensive experience in executing transactions for companies of all sizes. In addition, he managed a $14 billion loan portfolio with exposure across the manufacturing, mining & metals, aerospace & defense, chemicals, industrial services, logistics, transportation, building products, and automotive sectors.

James Disher has 25 years of experience serving in leadership roles in the financial and banking sector. He has extensive experience developing strategic financing and risk management solutions to facilitate M&A and strategic growth. James has worked with private equity, family owned, and public companies coordinating innovative financing solutions, leading restructuring efforts, and facilitating board level strategic finance discussions. James was a key leader in the buildout of the US Corporate Banking and Leverage Finance groups with RBC Capital Markets, moving the firm from a mid-market focus to a top 10 investment bank. James holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University.
