Mark has over 30 years of experience serving in IT leadership roles for organizations in a wide variety of industries, including Financial Services, Telecom, Technology, Consulting, and Healthcare. He enters organizations as CIO and is often hired where broad transformational needs are required—typical in organizations that are undergoing a transition to the cloud or where they have accumulated a large infrastructure or application debt that needs rationalization. At McAfee, Mark led a global application and infrastructure migration, an enterprise-wide assessment of internal and customer-facing applications, resulting in a roadmap to migrate 85% of applications to the cloud. To address chronic instability issues, he increased application availability and reduced unplanned downtime by 35%. At Epicor Software, Mark led a global systems infrastructure consolidation, reducing costs, standardizing processes, and increasing efficiencies by successfully leading a global financial system consolidation from four to one, customer support system consolidation from seven to one, and data center consolidation from 28 data to eight. He has worked in Fortune 50 companies and startups. He has a global focus and ability to effectively execute across cultural boundaries, including a three-year expat assignment in Tokyo as CIO for NASDAQ Japan—one of two founding executives sent to establish NASDAQ’s first market outside the US. Mark has deep experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures at organizations including Microsoft (where he lead the global IT acquisition and divestiture team), Caradigm (where he lead the establishment of a new IT organization as part of the formation of a Joint Venture between Microsoft and GE), Epicor Software, and McAfee where he was a key member of the due diligence and integration teams.
Mark holds a BS in Marketing & Management with study in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
