  • Successfully managed the cash flow of a failing US VC-backed mobile communications company ($60 million), enabling the company to be sold within 12 months, without any need for further VC funding
  • Implemented strategic planning, budgeting and performance measurement which enabled a US telecommunications /software company to expand its operations by raising $12 million in VC funding


Peter Grove is a hands-on finance professional, with a career spanning 30 years encompassing a wide range of industries in both public and private corporations. He served three years with Coopers & Lybrand in South Africa, auditing various national corporations. Peter then spent five years in a senior financial and commercial role with South Africa’s largest publicly traded computer company that acquired IBM South Africa. He went on to become CFO and board member of a South African electronics group traded on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He spent the next 10 years managing the finances of this group’s diverse businesses in electronics, manufacturing, import/export, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, security equipment, and telecommunications, before relocating to the United Kingdom. Over a period of seven years as an independent finance consultant in the UK, Peter undertook various executive finance roles serving multinational corporations in the fields of invoice factoring /discounting, audio/visual electronics, computer software, and ERP systems. During this period he was also the CFO and board member of a UK-based startup group. Since relocating to the USA Peter has provided strategic value assisting multinational companies in fields as diverse as market research, software development, software gaming, mobile applications, telecommunications, and manufacturing. Peter studied accounting science through the University of South Africa and attained the Professional Accountant (South Africa) designation. He is a Fellow of the Public Accountants Institute (Australia), an Affiliate of the Washington Society of CPAs and an International Associate of the AICPA.
