Key Leadership AccomplishmentsSebastian presided over the design and construction project management of the largest capacity brewery in the Pacific Northwest, as well as the migration of Craft Brew Alliance’s planning and replenishment systems onto the proprietary platform of parent company Anheuser-Busch. He was also key to the integration of the operations and retail teams of three acquired brewing companies and the modernization of two acquired brewing and packaging plants, which involved numerous instances of organizational design and development.
Sebastian has 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, including responsibility for human resources, supply chain, and all aspects of operations and logistics. His expertise spans the complete suite of manufacturing operations “from field to shelf,” including green field facility construction, plant modernizations, contracting for agricultural commodities, long-term supply agreements for raw materials and packaging components, demand planning, sales and operations planning (S&OP), ERP implementation, inventory management, human resources, manufacturing, packaging, quality and food safety, Safe Quality Food Institute compliance, vendor managed inventory (VMI), distribution logistics, and customer service.
Sebastian has held the senior leadership position in operations and supply chain in companies ranging in size from $20-$200 million in revenue. He was a key member of the leadership teams that grew Widmer Brewing from a garage-based operation into a $200 million revenue public beer conglomerate where he was a listed officer. More recently he has been the President of Trailblazer Foods, a center-aisle private label supplier, and charged with restructuring operations for Brew Doctor Kombucha. Sebastian holds a BA from Reed College, an MBA from George Fox University, certification in advanced project management from Stanford, and a certificate in Management & Leadership from MIT Sloane School.
